Hoopla.com is a free, online gaming website where you can play games, win prizes and change lives!

The situation

 

We were hired to create a brand new website for a brand new company that was revolutionizing the world of online entertainment by allowing people to Game for Good. On Hoopla.com, players can donate Hoops (the points they earn playing games) to Hoopla’s partner charities. Hoopla then turn’s those virtual donations into cash contributions to support projects that are changing lives around the world. With more than 50 games, and a variety of daily, weekly and monthly sweepstakes prizes, Hoopla.com has something for everyone.

Our solution

 

Truelogic worked with Hoopla’s leadership team to define the new website, starting with a discovery phase where we created interactive wireframes, functional specs and technical specs. Our creative team designed the interfaces while the gaming team worked on the gamification side.

Highlighted Features:

  • Worked with Arkadium to integrate over fifty of their original games into the platform.
  • The website was fully integrated with Facebook connect.
  • The technology selected was PHP and MySQL, utilizing CodeIgniter framework to create a custom back end and front end.
